A Different Kind of Health Coverage
LifeX is a health research organization that offers qualified individuals the opportunity to become Research Associates. Research Associates may gain access to group medical benefits by being employed to complete periodic health research activities.
This is different from buying a traditional individual health insurance policy. You are not simply purchasing insurance. You are participating in a research program connected to health and wellness data.
How LifeX Works

You apply to become a LifeX Research Associate.

If accepted, you may become eligible for group medical and wellness benefits.

Each month, you complete a short health research activity through the Personal Health Dashboard.

Activities may include surveys, videos, quizzes, protocols, coaching, telemedicine use, or healthcare satisfaction surveys. All of your data is de-identified before it is used for any purpose, so your health data remains confidential.

Research Associates are compensated for completed health research activities at $40 per hour. Most activities take around 15 minutes to complete, so if you did the maximum, your pay would be around $120 for the year. Failure to complete your research projects will result in losing your employment status.
